From the October 23, 2013 issue of The Journal
Friday night, Nov. 8, Richland Pig Fest will welcome the Caylee Anna Band to the Budweiser Veterans Day stage. Caylee Anna Hammack is a native of Ellaville. She has been nominated for Female Artist of the Year at the 2013 Georgia Country Music Awards.
Hammack could actually win the award the next evening. The winners will be announced at the 120 Tavern and Music Hall in Marietta Nov. 9. The Georgia Country Music Awards honor the very best in Georgia country music each year.
Saturday night, Nov. 9, Patrick Cobb and Slaughter Creek return to the Budweiser stage. They last appeared at Pig Fest two years ago. Cobb and his band perform high-voltage country-rock fusion.
Both performances will begin on the Budweiser stage at
Richland Pig Fest at 8 p.m. and continue until midnight.
Saturday night will also feature a fantastic fireworks display before Slaughter Creek takes the stage. Pyrotecnico, an industry leader in aerial pyrotechnics, will again present the breathtaking display at dark.
There will also be live entertainment beginning at 4:30 p.m. Friday, when Richland Pig Fest opens, by Jimmy Gaddy until the Caylee Anna Band performs at 8 p.m. Live entertainment will resume Saturday morning at 10 a.m. on the main stage and continues all day.
Pig Fest Char-Broil Challenge barbecue team winners will be announced at approximately 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
Saturday’s entertainment line up for the morning and afternoon will be published soon in The Journal.
