On Nov. 6, Stewart County residents will be asked to renew an existing Education Special Local Option Sales Tax (ESPLOST) on their ballot. Without the ESPLOST, the burden of local funding for the school system will be transferred from the existing one-cent sales tax, which everyone pays, to the property owners in the county.
