By GWANDA PLACE
The public is invited to attend a program, “Westville, The Legacy of John West,” given by Leo Goodsell, executive director of Historic Westville, and sponsored by the Chattahoochee County Historic Preservation Society.
The future, or fate, of the old Chattahoochee County Courthouse, which is presently located in Westville, will be addressed. The program will be given Monday, October 15 at 7 p.m. in the Rosenwald School Center, 113 Sandy Street, in Cusseta.
Mr. Goodsell is a native of Indiana, earned a degree in history from Indiana University, and completed a master’s degree in museum science at Texas Tech University. With a 20-year career working in museums, he became the executive director of Historic Westville in January 2006. He is a board member of the Georgia Association of Museums and Galleries, a member of the Columbus Rotary Club, and the Columbus Chapter of the Military Order of World Wars.
We look forward to seeing you on October 15, at 7 p.m. in Cusseta. For directions to the Rosenwald School Center, or related information, dial 706-989-3554.
