Dan White and Sarah Wynn set up a booth at Lumpkin’s Fair of the Square Oct. 20 and spent the day interviewing local residents about the future of Lumpkin’s public library. White and Wynn represent The Rural Library Project (RLP), a non-profit based in Yatesville, Ga. that works with rural communities to build or enhance library facilities.
White toured a building on the square that was occupied by Lumpkin Drug Company. The building is one of two options for the location of the library. Lumpkin’s library has been closed for three years.
