Buena Vista is no Orlando, Flordia, but local businesses might be surprised how much tourism benefits Marion County and how much more it could with a little more effort and cooperation.
That was the basic message that members of the Marion County Chamber of Commerce heard from a special guest speaker at their recent monthly luncheon, which was catered by A&R BBQ. Maggie Potter, tourism project manager for the Georgia Department of Economic Development, gave Chamber members some eye-opening statistics related to local tourism.
