The Schley County High School track program is entering a new era this year with two new coaches, but they plan to keep the strong tradition going.
Sam Captain is the new head coach for the Wildcats, while longtime SCHS Coach John McFather is the new head coach for the Lady Wildcats.
We have a tradition of having a good overall track program and sending kids to compete in the State Championship and we are looking to work hard so we can continue that tradition, said Coach McFather.
WILDCATS
Coach Sam Captain gives the Wildcats an experienced coach, as he coached track for two years at Wayne County and for three years in Thomasville, North Carolina. He is enjoying getting to know his athletes and working with the Wildcats.
