The Marion County High School varsity baseball team is still relatively young this year (Jake McTaggart and Taylor Barrett are the only two seniors on the squad), but the Eagles have a good bit of experience and talent, too, so they have lofty goals.
Our goal is to get into the state playoffs, said Head Coach Luke Jernigan. We gained a lot of experience from last season. We played 7-to-8 underclassmen every game last year. The boys have worked extremely hard this offseason on getting better at hitting and speed.
