The Marion County Sheriff's Office is asking local residents to keep their eyes peeled for suspicious activity in light of three break-ins/burglaries at residences on Monday. They appeared to be quick "hit-and-go" crimes in which the burglar(s) went into bedrooms in search of valuables like jewelry.
In two cases, neighbors reported having seen a silver/gray car at the homes. One reported that the car appeared to have a "dealer" tag, but did not get a close enough look to confirm or to notice what dealer's name was on the tag.
"We are investigating these burglaries and we are asking residents who may have noticed something to call the Sheriff's Office at 229-649-3841," said Sheriff Derrell Neal.
