Ellaville Streetscape in Project
appears to be in danger

Ellaville City Administrator Debbie Pilcher urged City Council members to call engineer Rick Saunders of Rick Saunders Engineering Consultants, Inc. and tell him of their concern over the possibility of losing the Streetscape grants because, in her opinion, he is dragging his feet in completing the necessary work on the project.
This issue was discussed as old business at the June 10 Ellaville City Council meeting.
The project would revitalize downtown Ellaville with completely redesigned sidewalks, lighting, and landscaping. It has been on the planning boards for more than several years and the deadline for completion of the engineering phase is approaching. Pilcher said that Saunders might have too much on his plate, and currently, the city asks about the number of employees working in a firm before engaging their services.
