The State Election Board voted unanimously to dismiss Case No. 2012-000185 in a meeting in Macon on February 5. The complaint had been made by Jacqueline Hudson concerning her mother’s absentee ballot.

As reported in last week’s issue, the State Election Board recently voted unanimously to dismiss an elections complaint made in Marion County. However, the complaint – Case No. 2012-000185 – focused solely on an absentee ballot dispute and not on a wide range of issues raised by former Sheriff Horace Snider and former Deputy Kyle Snider.
That incorrect information was printed based on incorrect information received from Marion County Election Superintendent Anthony Dixon.
Dixon assumed the hearing dealt with the comprehensive issues raised by the Sniders after the July 2012 election and he passed that assumption along to The Journal.
