Schley home destroyed by fire
From the Feb. 6, 2013 issue
By LINDA ADAMS
The home of Lisa Morris burned to the foundations mid-afternoon on Monday, February 4. The Schley County UPS driver, Tony Womack, spotted the blaze and notified 911. Unfortunately, it was noticed too late for the Schley County Fire Department to save the house.
Lisa Morris and her daughter, Carson, lived in the home and were able to rescue all of the dogs and the cat that had been driven into the woods during the fire.
An investigation is ongoing as to the cause of the fire. Morris is employed at Ameris Bank in Butler.
