The Lumpkin City Council appears to have settled on a location for the Lumpkin Library. The site chosen at the Council meeting at City Hall is the former Lumpkin Drugs building on the southwest corner of the square, according to Lumpkin City Council member Barbara Cullifer.
The agreed purchase price for the property was reported to be $50,000 cash and $75,000 in tax credits for the owners. There was one dissenting vote on a motion by Cullifer to purchase the drug store building.
