The Marion County High School girls basketball team defeated Brookstone in a thrilling come-from-behind win to claim the Region 4A Championship Saturday afternoon at MCHS.
The Lady Eagles (17-7) now head into the State Championship Tournament as the No. 6 seeded team. They will host No. 11 ranked Greenville High this Friday at Marion County High School in the first round of State. The time for tip-off had not been decided by the deadline for this issue of the newspaper.
