When it comes to helping the needy, members of Marion County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) have a can-do attitude – literally. Marion EMS has collected more than 5,000 cans of food to help local needy families during the Christmas season.
This is an annual project and is part of a Region 7 EMS

program in which all of the EMS departments in the region conduct “Cans for Kids” drives. It’s technically a competition between all of the agencies, but lately it’s been a competition for second place.
