Lady Cats have impressive combination of talent,
experience, and team chemistry in 2014

   With an abundance of talent and experience, the Schley County High School varsity softball team is poised for another great season in 2014.
   It will be hard to top last year's performance – 25-7 record, Elite Eight Round of State Playoffs (one win shy of Final Four) – but the potential for something special is there again. That's because the Lady Cats have sixreturning starters, including the Region Player of the Year and four other All-Region players. All are seniors this year and would love to end their high school careers with a super season.
   Head Coach Brandy Conner, who was last year's Region 4A Coach of the Year, said that in addition to talent, this year's team has something that is hard to define, but easy to see – good team chemistry.
   "These girls have played together for several years now," she said. "Five of the six seniors have played together for most of their school careers. I think that the chemistry that this group has, the ability that they have, and the determination each brings with them will help us this year."
