The Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta-Chattahoochee County voted on water and road projects, while also making a couple of tough decisions on local recreation during its recent monthly meeting.
Commissioners approved having Crawford & Grading finish the water line project on Manta Road. This will be the last few miles on a $40,000 project that extended the main water line. The line will connect the two parts of the water system, providing a redundant water supply, which is important when leaks/repairs have to be made. It also improves fire protection for the area.
Officials also signed off on the 2015 Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG), which is from state funds. Plans are to use the funds to work on resurfacing projects on ...Online subscribers click here for the rest of the story.
