L.K. Moss Elementary School is wrapping up an extensive renovation that once completed will have Marion County schools basically set for the next 20 years, according to Marion County Superintendent Richard McCorkle.
The various aspects of the project are being paid for with approximately $170,000 in sales tax revenue. The improvements were included in the sales tax referendum passed by local voters in 2008. (The current sales tax being collected will be used to help pay for the new middle/high school.)
