Redmond hasn't officially accepted, but has
been offered a job in Meriwether County

   Schley County Administrator Doug Redmond has been offered a job in the same position in Meriwether County, but hasn’t officially accepted it.
   Contrary to an article published in Tuesday’s Columbus Ledger-Enquirer stating that he has accepted the position, Redmond said that he hasn’t yet made up his mind to leave Schley County.
    “There are things I want to finish here, but it will be discussed at the upcoming Commissioners meeting next week,” Redmond said.

began his professional career in government administration with Grantville in Coweta County, where he served as the city administrator for two years. He then came to Ellaville and served as the city administrator for three years. In May of 2003 he left the City of Ellaville, but not the area, as he became the administrator for the Schley County Board of Commissioners.
