Schley Clerk of Superior Court plans to resign

   Ginger Eubanks, Clerk of Schley County Superior Court for the last 26 years, is planning to resign from the position.
   Eubanks is expected to appoint Kathy Royal to serve as chief deputy clerk. Royal will work in the office until a

special election will be held on March 20. An election is required since there is more than six months remaining in Eubank’s term of office.
   Those wishing to qualify for the position of Clerk of Superior Court must do so between January 29, and January 31. To qualify, the person must be 25 years of age or older, a resident of Schley County for at least two years, a registered voter, and not have been convicted of a felony offense. For more information, and to qualify, those interested should see the Probate Judge of Schley County, Mitzi Way, in the courthouse in downtown Ellaville.
