A traffic accident claimed the life of two Buena Vista residents -- Wanda Kelly, 36, and Sabino Olvera, 30 -- in the early morning hours of Monday, Dec. 4.
According to the Georgia State Patrol’s office in Americus, Olvera was driving a GMC Suburban east on Highway 26 about a half mile outside of Buena Vista when the vehicle ran off the road. It traveled down an embankment and rolled over twice, ejecting the driver and the passenger.
Olvera died at the scene of the accident, while Kelly passed away a few hours later after being taken to The Medical Center in Columbus.
The accident happened around 2:18 a.m. and no other vehicles were involved.
