SPICED LEMONADE |

* 4 cups water In medium saucepan, over high heat, bring water and sugar to a boil; reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until sugar is dissolved, about 2 minutes. Add gingerroot, allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg to the saucepan; simmer for 1 minute longer. Stir in lemon juice. Using a fine mesh sieve, strain spiced lemonade into a large pitcher. Chill spiced lemonade for 1 hour or until ready to serve. |
