Maryland Crab Cakes Recipe

How many of you are amateur photographers? I know I am. I always have a camera with me. My favorite is taking photos of nature. I will be driving down the road and pull over to get a picture of nature. Or I will tell Ellis to “go back” and he has learned to humor me! can get set-up. I enjoy “trying” to take photos of flowers or fungus (strange things that grow), trees and landscapes. We do have a beautiful world! Many of my photos I will use on the front of a greeting card that I make myself….. picture perfect!

And speaking of picture perfect, these crab crabs are pretty close! To me crab cakes are a comfort food. You can eat them as a meal or a snack. I hope you enjoy these!

Maryland Crab Cakes

World Wide Gourmet Foods, Inc

* 1/4 teaspoon pepper
* 1 pound cooked crabmeat or 3 - 6 ounces cans crabmeat, drained, flaked and cartilage removed
* 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
* 2 tablespoons butter or margarine

In a large bowl, whisk together the first eight ingredients. Fold in crab. Place the bread crumbs in a shallow dish. Drop 1/3 cup crab mixture into crumbs; shape into a ¾ inch thick patty. Carefully turn to coat. Repeat with remaining crab mixture. In a skillet, cook patties in butter for 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
