Jam 'n' Cram French Toast |

* 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened Spread cream cheese on one slice of bread. Spread jam on the other slice; place jam side down over the cream cheese. In a shallow bowl, beat egg. Dip both sides of bread into egg. In a skillet, melt butter; cook bread for 3 – 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Serve with syrup if desired. Instead of syrup, I sprinkle with powdered sugar. |
